We are here to support the needs of the members of our community through our nutrition and transportation programs. Voluntary Action Center operates our programs in DeKalb, Kendall, LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam Counties, IL.
MEALS
Provides nutritious meals to older adults and those in need who are homebound.
Rides
Provides local in-county trips and out-of-county medical trips to those in need.

Serving our community for 50 years
Voluntary Action Center of Northern Illinois is here to support the needs of the members of our community. Over the years, those needs have grown exponentially. We operate programs in DeKalb, Kendall, LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam Counties, IL. At VAC, we aim to ensure the health and wellness of those who need us.
Voluntary Action Center depends on the kindness and generosity within our community. Please support our mission with your time, talents, and financial contributions.
Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the home-bound.
Nutrition programs include lunches for local daycare providers and congregate meals for senior citizens.
TransVAC offers rides for seniors, those with disabilities, and the public, with dial-a-ride services in rural DeKalb County, Sandwich area, and Kendall Area Transit.

The annual day dedicated to environmental awareness lands on Monday, April 22 this year and is recognized around the globe.
